The Plight San Francisco Artists

This month, San Francisco art galleries have been holding art fairs to allow artists in the city a venue to display their works.  One such event is the San Francisco Fine Art Fair at Fort Mason, which last year attracted 15,000 visitors and sold $5 million worth of art.  Art fairs have been popping up all over the City to draw artists and compete with the art scenes in New York and Los Angeles.  What more can the city do to draw in new artists, and do people find this important?
