Yes, cats are allowed on Muni. Your cat must be carried in a small closed container.

You have to pay a fare equal to yours for any non-service animal. If paying fare with a Clipper card, you will need to pay for your cat’s fare in cash.

You can also use a Muni ticket fare machine at a Muni ticket vending machine. A one-time surcharge will apply – but you can reload the ticket for future rides with your cat.
