You may not be able to restructure the foundation of your apartment complex, but  you can still take action to secure your belongings in the event of an earthquake. The Earthquake and Hazards Program website provides San Franciscans with diagrams on how to secure household items that range from picture frames and hanging mirrors to wood stoves, televisions sets and potted plants. Check it out and learn more on how to prepare in the event of an earthquake.
