The San Francisco Assessor-Recorder's office maintains information on property ownership for properties located in San Francisco. You may get information by calling 415-554-5596 or by going to their office, Monday through Friday, during business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Assessor’s Office is located at City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, Room 190, San Francisco, CA 94102.

You can also conduct a search by specific address to obtain parcel information (block/lot) for a property. Once done, you can then search the recorded documents database to see what documents on the property have been recorded from 1990 to present.
