To report an abandoned vehicle on private property in San Francisco, you can call 311 or submit a service request online.

Once an abandoned has been reported, the San Francisco Department of Health, Environmental Health has 5 business days to investigation the report and provide warning notice to the private property owner.

Once a warning has been issued to a private property owner, they have 30 calendar days to remove the abandoned vehicle. If the abandoned vehicle is not removed in 30 days, the property owner will be issued a citation.

Once the property owner removes the vehicle they must notify the Department of Public Health. The Department of Public Health will then conduct another investigation to confirm the car has been removed.
