Filmmaker360 is a project under the San Francisco Film Society to help emerging and established filmmakers fund their films. The project is a fiscal sponsorship program, offering grants, prizes, and residencies. Examples of grants include the SFFS Documentary Film Fund, a screenwriting grant, and the Golden Gate Awards. Thinking about making that next great film? Here is a schedule of the deadlines for their programs.

  • SFFS/Kenneth Rainin Foundation Filmmaking Grant (for feature narrative films that deal with social jusctice):
    • Spring Round deadline: (closed)
    • Fall Round: September 7, 2012 – September 29, 2012 (late deadline is October 4, 2012)
  • SFFS Documentary Film Fund (for feature documentary films in postproduction)
    • April 9, 2012 – May 4, 2012 (late deadline is May 11, 2012)
  • SFFS/Djerassi Screenwriting Fellowship (a one-month residency at the Djerassi Resident Artists Program for screenwriters)
    • June 13, 2012 – July 6, 2012 (late deadline is July 13, 2012)
  • SFFS/Hearst Screenwriting Grant (for mid-career screenwriters working on a feature narrative script)
    • May 23, 2012 – June 21, 2012 (late deadline is June 28, 2012)
