The San Francisco City ID Card is a photo identification card available to all San Francisco residents. The card helps to provide holders with easier access to city programs.

The card can be used to serve as proof of identity and residency. The card can also include information about the holder’s medical conditions or allergies, as well as an emergency contact.

You can also use the card as a library card at the San Francisco Public Library.

The card is valid for up to 2 years and expires 2 years from the date of issuance, when the cardholder turns 14, or when the cardholder is no longer a resident of San Francisco – whichever comes first.
