Many years ago, in the area just below what is currently Pacific Heights, a large amount of cattle grazed. The area was important to get milk to the rest of the City. Neighbors and residents eventually worked to remove the cows from the area and developers transformed the area into its current appearance. But, the name Cow Hollow stuck.
