The Embarcadero stretches along San Francisco’s eastern waterfront along the San Francisco Bay and contains the historic Port of San Francisco, the Ferry Building and the popular Pier 39. Prior to the construction of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge in the 1930s, the Embarcadero was considered to be one of the busiest places of foot traffic in the world – behind Charing Cross Station in London and Grand Central Station in New York City.

Today the Embarcadero is a popular destination for stunning views of the San Francisco Bay, the Bay Bridge and unique sculptures. It’s home to great restaurants, shopping, theaters and other entertainment.
