Surrounded by Golden Gate Park, Ocean Beach, the San Francisco Zoo and Haight-Ashbury, the Inner Sunset is one of the most beloved neighborhoods by San Francisco locals. Multicultural and filled with restaurants, the Inner Sunset still has the feeling of a small town. Often thought to have some of the worst weather in the area, the Inner Sunset saw its first real population boom towards the end of the 1800s when the University of California opened a new medical campus in the area, bringing in students who enjoyed the low rental prices in the area. The Inner Sunset has emerged as a place for families to live but it maintains a slew of mom-and-pop restaurants and small businesses.
