Priorities of the SF MUNI

Interesting news this morning from the SF Examiner – a report that the San Francisco Municipal Railway is spending $100,000 on outside public relations consultants to help battle the driver’s union. This report comes on the heels of another strong Examiner piece detailing how the MUNI is becoming even less reliable. San Francisco MUNI hires outside PR firm

Not one cent of one of these PR dollars will help fix the Clipper Card disaster, make the 38 Geary Bus or N Judah streetcar line or any single other San Francisco bus or streetcar line faster or more reliable. So should public relations really be a priority of the San Francisco Municipal Railway right now?
