Breaking: Woman Hit, Killed by MUNI Bus

A female pedestrian has suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a Muni bus in the Castro district, police said.

The woman is currently pinned underneath the bus, and emergency medical crews are on the scene, according to Officer Albie Esparza of the San Francisco Police Department.

The accident occurred at 2:30 p.m. at 18th and Hartford streets, Esparza said. He did not have any further details of the incident.

Update: Woman Hit, Killed By Muni Bus

A woman was struck and killed by a San Francisco Municipal Railway bus in the city's Castro District this afternoon, a fire department spokeswoman said.

The collision was reported at 2:30 p.m. at 18th and Hartford streets, spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.
