San Francisco Parking Ticket Petition

Reset San Francisco has been making news and making noise. When city officials announced that parking control officers should write more parking tickets to close the budget gap, over 2,600 San Franciscans responded by signing our petition to ask City Hall to tear up its unfair ticket plan.

CBS, KRON 4 and Bay Citizen all reported that we’re making our voices heard on ResetSanFrancisco.org. Will you join fellow San Franciscans and sign our petition below?

The parking ticket burden is already too high. Looking at parking meter violations from Boston to Los Angeles to Portland, San Francisco’s biggest fine, $65, was the highest of all the largest cities.

We all want the revenue it takes to support important services like better schools, a reliable MUNI and a safer city. But is gouging San Franciscans with some of the nation’s highest parking tickets really the fair way to help close a budget gap?

If you think more parking tickets are one of the worst ways to close the budget gap – make your voice heard.
