What should I put in my earthquake emergency kit for my home?
The American Red Cross and the Federal Emergency Management Agency created a list of items that every family should include in its emergency kit supplies. Items include:
- First aid kit
- Canned food and can opener
- At least 3 gallons of water per person
- Battery-powered radio and flashlight
- Weather-proofed clothing and jackets
- A crowbar
You can see the complete list of emergency supply kit items on the Earthquake and Hazards Program website.
