What does it mean if I am standby pollworker in San Francisco?

As a standby pollworker in San Francisco, you need to report to City Hall at 6:00 am on Election Day to wait for a precinct assignment. If you are late, you won’t be assignment a precint. If you are assigned, the San Francisco Department of Elections will transport you to your assigned polling place. If you are not dispatched to a precinct poling place, you will need to stay at City Hall until you are released by the Department of Elections. If you are released by the San Francisco Department of Elections before 12:00 noon, you will be paid for a half-day of service. If you have questions, you can call the Pollworker Division at (415) 554-4395.
