A Mix of Sources

If we're going to achieve our goals of carbon neutrality, we're going to have to aggressively pursue all of the renewable energy -- and, most importantly, energy efficiency -- resources available to us. That includes rooftop renewables like solar PV, solar water heating and small wind turbines, and larger scale resources like wave power and offshore wind.  We've got up to 100 MW+ of wave power potential off our coast, and likely a lot more than that in offshore wind.  No one resource is going to be the panacea, we're going to need to use all of them to power SF sustainably.

I agree, nature provides

I agree, nature provides energy in various forms, and we will require various technologies to harvest all of them. And just to put a face on wave farms, check out these photos:
