According to our friends over at the San Francisco Small Business Owners for Fairness, every car in San Francisco gets an average of four parking tickets a year. You know the feeling – you run to your car, because you know your parking meter is almost up. Unfortunately you are already too late, and there is a parking ticket on your car – that Bi-Rite ice cream just cost you $55.

The San Francisco Small Business Owners for Fairness say these parking tickets affect the bottom line of local small businesses – not to mention the bottom line of every San Franciscan who drives a car.

Fed up with the consequences these parking tickets have on their customers, the San Francisco Small Business Owners for Fairness created a contest for the most outrageous parking ticket story in San Francisco. The winner got their parking ticket paid for – and they had some good stories to choose from.

Small business owners say parking tickets hurt Mom-and-Pop stores because small businesses can’t compete with big box stores that offer free parking.

So what was the most egregious parking ticket story in San Francisco? Watch this video to find out.
