Project 20 is an alternative to paying your parking ticket in San Francisco. The program is designed for San Franciscans who cannot afford to pay their parking tickets or parking violations. If you qualify for Project 20, you can complete community service hours in lieu of paying your parking ticket.

The Department of Parking and Traffic, located at 11 South Van Ness Ave, is responsible for referring participants who cannot afford to pay their parking violations. The number for the Department of Parking and Traffic is (415) 701-3000.

Participants who cannot afford to pay their traffic violations are referred from the Traffic Division at the Hall of Justice, located at 850 Bryant Street, Room 101.

Project 20 is supported through nominal administration fees paid by participants and determined by the court. The program receives no funding from the city or county of San Francisco.
