The San Francisco Department of Emergency Management provides a variety of programs and resources to improve your earthquake safety in San Francisco. 72Hours.org provides families with emergency preparedness information such as how to make a plan, prepare an emergency kit and get involved with disaster preparedness measures in your community. AlertSF is a city-wide system which allows San Franciscans to subscribe to email and SMS text message alerts during emergencies. And our Neighborhood Emergency Response Team (NERT) provides free training from the San Francisco Fire Department on disaster preparedness tactics and response.
