How do Caltrain conductors know if I have paid my fare?
Caltrain conductors carry hand held card readers that can scan your Clipper card to confirm that you tagged your card or have a monthly pass.
If the Caltrain conductor asks for proof of payment, all you need to do is show your Clipper card to be scanned.
