You need to contact one of the legally adjudicated newspaper companies listed online and publish with one of them. When you speak with the newspaper, you should inform them that you just filed a Fictitious Business Name Statement and need to satisfy the publication requirement.

You will need to provide the newspaper with a copy of your fictitious business name statement. You need to have your first newspaper publication occur within 30 calendar days from the date you filed your fictitious business name statement.

It is advised that you contact newspaper companies early so you can be sure you meet the 30-day requirement. Publication must be in the newspaper once a week for four consecutive weeks.

After the 4th publication, the newspaper should send a Proof of Publication. This Proof of Publication must be filed with the County Clerk's Office no later than 30 days after the 4th publication. The filing fee for proof is $7.
