There are around 43,000 streetlights in San Francisco, of these the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) maintains approximately 22,000. If the street light you are reporting is not one of the 22,000 maintained by SFPUC, they will forward your request to the proper agency to make sure the light is fixed.

You can submit a request to 311 for service on a broken street light in San Francisco online. When submitting a request, you should provide a detailed description of the location of the broken street light.

Lights are generally inspected within two business days and fixed with 30 calendar days.
