How do I use my new Clipper Card?
Whenever you are using participating San Francisco public transit, you will need to ‘tag’ your card on the Clipper Card reader at the entrance of the transportation vehicle, station or fare gates. To correctly tag your card, hold it upright against the sensor and wait for the beep or for the fare gates to open. If this happens, your card was appropriately charged for the fare.
