There are three requirements to obtain a residential parking permit in San Francisco.

First, you need to show a copy of a valid California vehicle registration. The registration must be in the applicant’s name and reflect the current permit address.

Students may be exempt from the address match if they provide proof they are currently enrolled full time in college.

Second, you need to provide one proof of residency. Valid forms of proof of residency include: utility bill, current rental document, current vehicle insurance policy, bank statement or pre-printed check with resident's name and address.

Lastly, you need to submit a completed application payment full year.
