Today, we join our fellow San Franciscans in paying a somber tribute to Lt. Vincent Perez and firefighter-paramedic Anthony “Tony” Valerio – the two San Francisco firefighters killed in the line of duty during a fire in Diamond Heights on June 2.

Today’s funeral for the two fallen heroes will take place at St. Mary’s Cathedral and will begin at 12:30 p.m. You can pay your respects and watch a live stream of the firefighter funeral here.

Not all of us can show our respects to the department and the families by attending the funeral. But we can all show our support by making donations to a trust account set up for the families of Anthony and Vincent. Checks can be made out to Anthony Valerio or Vincent Perez and can be sent to:
